Vantaa

The capital of Finland Helsinki is located on the Gulf of Finland on a peninsula and is surrounded by the sea and islands, about a quarter of the area of the capital is occupied by the city parks. The proximity to the sea gives the city a special, romantic mood.

Being located close to the city of Helsinki, on its northern part, Espoo and Vantaa have become virtually the suburbs of Helsinki and made up Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Vantaa has seven districts and is home to the International Helsinki-Vantaa Airport  the biggest and the busiest airport of Finland.

Vantaa is a kind of autonomous city with its own beauty and several attractions. This is a green city and it is especially interesting for nature lovers as here there are great opportunities for biking, hiking,etc.  Do not miss the chance to visit the Helsingin Pitajan Kirkko (Parish Church) of the fifteenth century.
The city Vantaa received its name from the River Vantaa flowing through its territory. Vantaa Centre consists of several villages, the administrative center located in Tikkurila, with a population of about 30 thousand people, it is 19 km from Helsinki city center and 7 km from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

From the international airport of Helsinki-Vantaa flights are carried out to more than 130 airlines in Europe, North America and Asia. The airport has good parking facilities and shopping is tax free, it also provides facilities for meetings, congresses, exhibitions,etc.
The airport has two terminals; one is designed for domestic flights and the other for international.
